see and understand the proposals to create up to 200 new homes on the southern edge of Worcester.

Why Middle Battenhall Farm and why now?
All local authorities must deliver housing to meet the needs of their current and future residents; this is based on projections of population growth for the local area. Once a total number of additional new houses has been agreed, the local authority creates a plan to identify where housing sites can be located.
Worcester City Council has a high requirement for housing land, but has agreed with Wychavon and Malvern Hills Councils to prepare a joint plan (the South Worcestershire Development Plan) to identify housing land across the three areas.
In November Malvern Hills District Council recommended the allocation of new homes at Newlands should be reduced by allocating land for 400 – 500 homes at Redhill (also known as Upper and Middle Battenhall) and 800 homes in the Norton/Littleworth area. Malvern Hills District Council has agreed to continue with the preparation of the South Worcestershire Development Plan.
This exhibition provides residents with an opportunity to comment on the initial proposals for development of the site.
